One-click trading

With one-click trading on, a session key saved in your browser signs your trades, with no wallet prompt. The app describes it as: "A key saved in this browser places your trades with no wallet prompt, gas covered. It can’t withdraw funds, and Revoke removes it."

What a session key can do

Your wallet registers the session key once as a trading delegate of your account.

The session key canThe session key cannot
Open and close positions, including Close AllWithdraw from your account
Cancel orders and emergency closeMove your funds or transfer your account
Close a position on a retired market
Sign your TP/SL saves

Your wallet still signs everything else: deposits, withdrawals, and turning one-click trading on or off.

Turn it on

Open Settings, then Trading and press Enable next to One-click trading. This is one wallet transaction, and you pay its gas.

If TP/SL access is off, you can tick Also turn on TP/SL before you press Enable. Both go in the same transaction. See Stop loss and take profit.

One-click trading is offered only while gas sponsorship is enabled. When enabled, Parchment pays the network gas for your one-click trades.

Once the key is saved in this browser, the Use one-click trading switch turns it on and off for this app. This is not a transaction. Off, the status reads Off, wallet signs, and your wallet signs each trade. The switch does not end the session: the key stays authorised until you revoke it.

How long it lasts

New sessions don't expire. A session stays authorised until you press Revoke next to it in Settings, then Trading. Active sessions lists it with No expiry.

A session turned on before sessions stopped expiring keeps its end date, shown as ends in the time left.

When a session ends, the status reads Ended. A trade you then send shows One-click session ended. with Use wallet, and Re-enable to turn one-click trading on again.

Several browsers

Each browser has its own session key. Turn on one-click trading in each browser you use.

Settings, then Trading lists every session on your account under Active sessions:

  • Revoke next to This browser removes this browser's key.
  • Revoke next to another session removes that one. Use it for a lost or old device.
  • Revoke all others removes every session except this browser's.
  • An older session that reached its end date stays listed as expired, revoke to remove it until you revoke it.

Each revoke is one wallet transaction. Revoking a session does not turn off TP/SL access, which has its own Turn off.

Pending orders after a revoke

An order the session key placed before you revoked it is not undone at once:

  • Before its cancel point (7 seconds after it was sent), it can still fill as normal.
  • After that, it is refunded. Your margin comes back to your free balance. The $0.02 execution fee is kept, as with a cancel.

Retry once automatically

With one-click trading on, an order that expires unfilled is sent once more. The app describes it as: "With one-click trading on, an expired order is sent once more and a busy gas sponsor is tried again after a short wait."

The resend is a new request and pays its own $0.02 execution fee. The setting is Retry once automatically in Settings, then Trading. It is on by default, and is kept per account and wallet.

Pay from

Pay from in Settings, then Trading sets what an order's margin can be paid from:

SettingWhat it does
AccountMargin and fees come from your account's free balance.
Account + Wallet"Account + Wallet tops an order up from your wallet when the account is short."

One-click trades pay from your account's free balance only. With Account + Wallet, an open that needs a top-up from your wallet is signed by your wallet instead, and you pay its gas.

If your free balance runs low, Settings shows Low account balance for fees. Deposit to keep trading without wallet prompts.

When one-click cannot sign

Sometimes the session key cannot send a trade. Nothing is signed, and the app shows why, with Use wallet to send that one trade from your wallet. See Troubleshooting.
